Welcome to the Promise Land Area on Bull Shoals Lake
The Promise Land Area is a four-season outdoor paradise located in the Ozark Mountains of Northern Arkansas, just a short drive from the town of Mountain Home. A long relaxing vacation or a weekend getaway at one of our resorts might be just what you need to rid yourself of the hassles of everyday life. A great place for large family reunions or corporate getaways, our association offers 8 resorts in the area that combined could handle any size of group. We have a local community center that has cooking facilities and seating for several hundred people. Catering is available and can be arranged with many different menus to select from. The resorts are a short drive to each other and in some cases within walking distance of each other.

Summertime is the perfect time to enjoy crystal clear unpolluted waters of Bull Shoals Lake. Swimming, boating and scuba diving, are just a few of the things that can be enjoyed on Bull Shoals Lake's 45,000 acres of uncrowded waters.
Take the family for an evening boat ride and watch the areas stunning sunsets. Do a little night time fishing for one of the lakes lunker size bass or walleye, or enjoy a one-of-a-kind Ozark float trip down the White River for trophy rainbow and brown trout. So come on down, sit out on the front porch, and relax without those pesky mosquitoes.

In the fall, Mother Nature gets out her palette of color turning the hillsides into bright oranges and golden browns. Take a drive down a country road and see the Ozarks as it was 100 years ago. Visit the historic Wolf House, the oldest 2 story log structure in Arkansas. Take in one of the many area festivals or visit our craft stores and antique shops. As the nights cool the lake waters, the fall fishing action begins.
The mild winters offer our northern neighbors an escape from their harsh winters. Take a cruise on the lake and you may experience Bald Eagles in their winter homes, or some of the other wildlife in their natural surroundings. As the lake never freezes, this might be the time to catch that trophy of a lifetime.
Lodging in a Promise Land Area Resort ranges from small individual cottages to family size 4 bedroom homes. All of our resorts feature private, covered and lighted boat docks for your convenience. Bring your own boat or arrange for a rental boat. You will find everything from basic fishing boats and motors to bass, pontoon or deck boats. Other amenities like swimming pools, game rooms, playgrounds are available at some of the individual establishments
